sometimes when you are remotely administrating machines for others, they just don't know how to get basic information to you, like getting an external ip address for you. this is prolly more true with cable/dsl dhcp clients. |

this article goes into the process of getting netatalk 2.0.x onto an OpenBSD box. there is no official port for 2.0.x, the latest one that exists on OpenBSD.org is 1.6.3, and with MacOSX, it's getting pretty useless, especially with long files names. |
